If you click link and download the file but when download complete it just have jad file that called OTA link (Over The Air)
and it must download from your blackberry device and it install automatically to your blackberry device

And if you download and have many file it called OFFLINE installer:

you can copy all file to your memory card and open the memory from your blackberry and execute the file jad and it automatically installed t your device

cod and alx file
you can use blackberry desktop manager and choose the file alx from the blackberry device software
